patented revolutionary technology to get you pet home

A Save This Life microchip is your pet’s lifetime identification. Microchips are small, roughly the size of a grain of rice (12mm), and are typically implanted behind the neck, in between the shoulder blades, in most pets. They are easily inserted beneath your pet’s skin and are designed to cause them little discomfort. No anesthesia, or pain relievers, are necessary for microchip implantation. Each microchip comes loaded in a 2-finger non-slip syringe with a needle that is laser-beveled for maximum sharpness so that your pet has an easy implantation. Save This Life Microchips are 134.2 kHz ISO compliant, meaning that our chips are able to be read by all universal scanners. The microchips themselves are also coated in Parylene C to prevent them from ever migrating.

Microchips are your pet’s permanent identification. While they are not currently Global Positioning System (GPS) capable, they instead emit a low radio frequency that will transmit that pet’s identification code to be read on a microchip scanner. Because they require no power source, your pet’s Save This Life microchip will last for their lifetime.

Save This Life has patented innovative technology that revolutionized the pet recovery process. The leaders of Save This Life, former rescuers frustrated with standard pet recovery systems, created our process to work faster in bringing home your pets. Save This Life has invented a way using a fast and easy Google™ search to shorten the length of time it takes for a finder to report your pet as found.

Each Save This Life microchip is searchable in Google™. When a good samaritan finds your pet and follows the instructions on your pet’s Save This Life tag, they can easily perform a quick Google™ search of your pet’s microchip number. From there, they are directed to a link leading them to our website where your pet’s information is displayed.

The finder will then provide their email, phone number, and the option to check a box if your pet needs medical attention. Once they submit their information, you will be sent an email and text message alerting you that your pet has been found. This process will alert you within moments, so you can get in contact with the good samaritan.

If the good samaritan allows their location to be known, you will also be sent a Google Maps™ GPS link of where that person was when they sent the alert. This allows you to physically see the area where your pet was located and be able to get to them faster. We’ve eliminated the need for endless phone trees, and have worked to make sure that your pet gets home where they belong.

Within minutes of your pet being reported as found, a Save This Life representative will get in touch with you immediately to confirm that you have received all necessary information in getting your pet back.
